Sterile Gas Filtration
Sterile air and gas filtration is essential for preventing microbial contamination in food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other critical applications. Sterile gas filters remove microorganisms from air and process gases, ensuring that ingredients, products, and equipment remain protected from airborne contaminants. Coalescing filters, are the preferred prefiltration to ensure removal of liquid aerosols and fine particulates from compressed gases. These enhance the performance and service life of sterile gas filter by reducing the contaminant load, ensuring maximum protection in sterile gas applications.
Solving your sterile gas filtration challenges.
Sterile Gas Filter Replacements
The SurePore Gas Filter range offers replacement cartridge filters for existing applications, whether sterile membrane or depth filters are used.
Fermentation & Bioreactors
All fermenters & bioreactor need to be aseptic between inlet gas and off-gas. SurePore Gas Filter range provides that protection to the product and the environment.
Coalescing Prefiltration
Coalescing Filters remove water, oil, liquid aerosols and particles from compressed gases to ensure the maximum protection of final sterile gas filter.

Understanding Sterile Gas Filtration
In gas filtration there are two key contaminates we need to remove prior to final sterile gas filtration. Firstly, condensate that forms in the transfer lines of the gas if there is any reduction in gas temperature. Secondly, oil and particulate that may already contaminate the gas, dependent on its source, or is added to the gas when it is manufactured, transported, or stored.
Any gas filtration installation needs to remove these contaminates, so that the gas is condensate, oil and particulate free, prior to the sterile gas filter. This then allows the filter to run at low differential pressure and its most efficient at removing microorganisms, bacteria, and viruses so that they cannot be transferred into the process or product that the gas contacts.
Understanding these issues helps ensure the correct filter for the application is chosen and sized correctly, and that once installed, runs without problem.
