Mesh Filters & Basket Strainers

Industrial basket strainers are designed to remove particulates from process and recirculating water, helping to protect downstream equipment such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers. Our simplex basket strainers feature removable, cleanable baskets and can be supplied with inline connections for fast and straightforward installation.

For applications that require uninterrupted operation, duplex basket strainers are available. These operate in a duty/standby configuration, with a switchover valve that allows flow to be diverted to the clean unit while the other is serviced—ensuring continuous performance. All baskets are manufactured from durable stainless steel for long service life and reliable operation.

Wedge wire strainer option is available for food & beverage applications, as it offers superior filter service life in applications such as craft beer.

Technical details

Filter Medium: Stainless steel mesh or wedge wire. The standard materials of construction are stainless steel 304 or 316L.
Filter Hardware: Stainless steel core and cage
Available micron ratings: 2,000µm to 50µm (options available for lower ratings)
Flowrates: 1 to 300 m3/hr
Inlet/Outlet connections: 1” to 8” flange, ½” to 2” threaded. Standard connection sizes are 1” to 12” flanged (ANSI or DIN), with bigger vessels available on request. Inline st.st. mesh filters feature connections, enabling easy pipeline installation.
Housing features: Vessels have a bolted lid fitted with a lifting handle and ½” vent valve. Larger models are provided with a davit arm lid lift and can have optional features such as lifting lugs.
Pressure rating: Maximum 10 bar upto 110°C. Higher pressure ratings available on request.
