SurePore PES membrane range
SurePore PES is a high surface area polyethersulphone membrane cartridges available in a range of retentions that allows it to be used in food & beverage, healthcare, and process water applications for sterile, bioburden and final filtration applications.
In food and beverage applications, whether alcoholic or non, SurePore PES membrane cartridges are used to remove potential spoilage organisms, such as enococcus oeni, yeasts, Brettanomyces or Saccharomyces that may cause turbidity and off-flavours in beverages. In soft drinks where syrups, because of their high sugar can be spoilt by Brettanomyces or Saccharomyces typically require filtration to 0.45 micron or 0.65 micron to ensure beverages can be bottled successfully with long shelve life. Spring or mineral water packaging applications require filtration to 0.2 micron to guarantee product shelve life.
Purified or ultrapure water is a key ingredient or utility throughout all the process industries, especially cosmetics production. SurePore PES 0.2 micron membrane cartridges are used in point of use (POU), sterile or final filtration applications for complete microorganism removal.
SurePore PES membrane is naturally hydrophilic, exhibits high flux rates that either reduces the cartridge size required or extends service life and a wide range of chemical compatibility. Constructed from material meeting USFDA Title 21 and USP Class VI the filter also meets the current USP requirements for extractables.
